Amélie – Medical Student from Germany

Amélie is a medical student from Germany and completed a two-week internship at Copenhagen Eye Institute. During her stay, she participated in daily examinations and also had the opportunity to observe surgeries, which she found particularly exciting as it allowed her to see advanced technology in practice.From day one, Amélie felt warmly welcomed and included as part of the team. She highlights the open and international environment, as well as the great care and respect shown to both patients and colleagues. Regardless of background or language, she experienced a strong effort to ensure that everyone felt safe and supported.
The internship gave her valuable insight into ophthalmology, from everyday diagnostics and treatments to highly specialized and modern surgeries, which were a highlight for her.
