Dr. Javier Cabrerizo - Ophthalmologist

Dr. Javier Cabrerizo is a recognized specialist in eye diseases and founder of the eye clinic Copenhagen Eye Institute. He is internationally known for his expertise in advanced corneal surgery, cataract operations, and modern eye laser treatments.

Since 2014, Javier Cabrerizo has been a specialist in ophthalmology with a focus on complex surgeries. He works daily with patients at the clinic in Copenhagen, performing advanced vision-correcting procedures as well as many other eye-related surgeries. As a former chief physician at the Eye Department at Rigshospitalet, he has made significant contributions to the development of eye surgery in Denmark.

Javier has completed clinical specialization programs in the Netherlands and Japan and was among the first to introduce and use advanced corneal transplantation techniques in Denmark, including DMEK and DSAEK methods. He has personally performed over 5,000 corneal transplants and a total of more than 10,000 complex eye surgeries.

He has also published over 30 scientific articles and presented his research findings at both national and international conferences. Furthermore, he has served as a clinical lecturer at the University of Copenhagen and contributed to the education of future ophthalmologists.
