This flattening is typically caused by a weakening of the tendons in the eyelid. During the second week, you should only use the drops at night. <\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1627\" data-end=\"1739\">Normal discomfort: It is completely normal to experience soreness and some swelling in the area in the week after surgery.<\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1741\" data-end=\"1830\">Prescription: A prescription for the required eye drops will be sent to the medicine server.<\/li><\/ul><p>Follow-Up:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"2062\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1947\">Thread removal: The thread used during surgery should be removed after approximately 2 weeks.<\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1951\" data-end=\"2062\">Long-term effect: The full effect of the surgery is only achieved after 6-8 weeks when healing is complete.<\/li><\/ul><p>What can go wrong?<\/p><p>As with any surgery, there are small risks of complications, including infection, swelling or incomplete correction of the eyelid position. It is therefore important to follow your doctor&#8217;s aftercare instructions and contact us in case of any problems such as bleeding, infection or unexpected symptoms.
